Amigos,

The LC-30HV4U combines the elegance of AQUOS(TM) Liquid Crystal Television design with a widescreen 30" Advanced Super View panel that is HDTV-compatible (720p) and PC-compatible.1 The AVC System, a separate box that houses all terminal connections, minimizes clutter around the panel itself, preserving the clean look which is ideal for wall-mounting.

The Panasonic TH-50PX20U features a high contrast ratio of 3000:1, making for a super bright, razor-sharp picture. With 1366 x 768 lines of resolution, the Panasonic TH-50PX20U is High Definition Television (HDTV) capable. Ideal for mounting on the wall, and with wide, 160-degree viewing angle (horizontally and vertically), the Panasonic TH-50PX20U display assures virtually everyone in the room will enjoy the same sharp images.

Panasonic Plasma Technology
HDTV (1080i, 720p)/EDTV (480p) Display Capability
This Plasma TV enables you to view high-definition or enhanced-definition TV programming in the 1080i or 480p signal format. In order to do so, the TV must be connected via its digital component video inputs (Y, PR, PB) to a DTV set-top box and switched to DTV mode. A DTV signal must be present in your area and the set-top box must be tuned to the proper channel. An external over-the-air antenna may be required. The Panasonic TH50PX20U/P can also accept 720p signals from a PC input.

Note: Optional set-top receiver required to view DTV programming. Optional external over-the-air antenna may be required for ATSC reception. If your cable company "passes through" a DTV signal unchanged, an optional HDTV set-top receiver can decode and tune the program. However, standards for cable connectivity have not been finalized. Consequently, this product may not be compatible with your cable system.

3000:1 Contrast Ratio
A high contrast ratio provides deep blacks and bright whites. With an incredible contrast ratio of 3000:1, the TH-50PX20U-P delivers brilliant, razor-sharp images that appear almost three-dimensional.

Progressive Processing
Progressive Scan displays a full frame of video in 1/60th of a second by de-interlacing the incoming video signal and progressively scanning the image. With it, you generally don't see the horizontal scan lines that are often visible in ordinary television images.

Convenience Features
Built-in NTSC Tuner and Speaker System
The Panasonic TH50PX20U/P is one of the first Panasonic plasma sets that require no add-ons to enjoy NTSC television viewing. The TH50PX20U/P includes built-in dual NTSC tuners and 5 bass reflex type speakers, all the while retaining the unique plasma look and style Panasonic is known for.
